With only a few bottles left available at Cellar Door, the team has decided to treat you with a tasting of the 2014 Langi Shiraz this Easter. Probably one of the last opportunity to discover this vintage before it sells out.

On tasting : Mast Shiraz 2014

Despite the limited number of wine left to purchase after having run two different pre-releases, the 2014 Mast Shiraz will be on tasting at Cellar Door between the 26 and 29 January.

The 2014 Mast Shiraz reflects season and site in equal measure. Its concentration is carried with elegance and poise, and its grand, complex structure lacks no confidence.

The Melbourne Cup long Weekend is also a “Seriously Shiraz” weekend in the Grampians!

Mount Langi Ghiran invites the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. to perform in the spectacular setting of the winery Monday 31st October at 12pm.

The exciting partnership between MSO and Mount Langi Ghiran pairs two historic Victorian brands renowned for their passion, craftsmanship and excellence. Same unique emotions come from listening to classical music and tasting wine. There is something pure, true and instinctive about it.

Langi riesling tasting

On tasting : Langi Riesling 2000, 2010 & 2013

Langi Riesling is selectively hand harvested from our Langi Old Block Riesling vines planted in 1975 at Mount Langi Ghiran. The site’s cool climate, together with granite sands and minimal irrigation, delivers grapes with great purity and stunning natural acidity. A small section of 15 panels across 15 rows at the southern crest of the block was selectively hand-harvested in order to capture their flavour intensity and razor-fine acidity. As a result, we are able to create wines with great energy and depth, and with superb cellaring potential.

Undisgorged Pinot Noir

Easter special tasting

The cellar door team is opening for Easter the 2011 Sparkling Pinot Noir “Undisgorged”.

A completely new and unique Mount Langi Ghiran wine.

Crafted from 100% Pinot Noir, this wine was fermented in bottle in 2011, and has been maturing on its original yeast lees for 4 years. Now, in 2016, it is time to share it.

“It smells of still fermenting pinot noir grapes, that prettiness of red cherry, sweetness of strawberry, whiff of herbs, pop of rose floral character. In the palate, light, fresh, fine, raised on fine perky bubbles, gently sweet then finishes sour sweet and with mouthwatering, pleasing bitterness. It’s a stunner. It’s so smashable. It’s so well done.” – Mike Bennie
