Led by the 2024 Talus Shiraz with 95 points, these reviews celebrate the elegance and distinctive regional character that define Mount Langi Ghiran.

We are also proud to maintain our 5-Red Star Winery rating, Halliday Wine Companion’s highest winery classification, recognising sustained excellence over many years.

A testament to the devotion and talent of the viticulture and winemaking teams led by Chief Winemaker Adam Louder and Viticulturist Damien Sheehan, explore these outstanding results below.

TALUS

Leading our Halliday Wine Companion 2027 results is our Talus Shiraz. An ode to Mount Langi Ghiran and the dramatic mountain landscape that defines our estate, the Talus range represents power, purity and mountain-derived cool-climate precision.

2024 TALUS SHIRAZ | 95 POINTS
“Slowly, slowly, Talus does a tantalising reveal. First, the upfront splash of ripe black fruits, sweet blueberries, a few pinches of spice seasoning, a hint of vanillin and florals, followed by cocoa and warm cedary oak. Then, the Grampians regional signature of Aussie bush, bay leaf, mint and wild herbs comes into full view. As it gathers pace, firm tannins lead the way through to a long, peppery finish. It is early days, but there is a world of promise awaiting with further cellaring. What a delight.”

CLIFF EDGE

With recognition across both Shiraz and Riesling, the Cliff Edge range reflects the intensity, purity and finesse that arise from our cool-climate vineyard, historic vines and ancient granite soils.

2024 CLIFF EDGE SHIRAZ | 93 POINTS
“Whole-berry ferments in small and large concrete open-top fermenters, seven to 10 days on skins, 18 months’ maturation in French barriques (25% new). Signature pepper isn’t always guaranteed, but when it’s noted in Grampians shiraz, as it is here, it certainly gets the pulse racing. It’s an integrated spice note, in no way aggressive, lifting ripe black berries, cassis, licorice, Aussie bush notes, so beautifully delivered, along with fine-grained tannins and a brightness of acidity. Effortless balance.”

2025 CLIFF EDGE RIESLING | 92 POINTS
“Pressed to tank, fermented cool, on lees for three months. Even in its youth, Cliff Edge has plenty of aromatic complexity on offer with aromas of honeysuckle, lime cordial, lemon citrus, apple, beeswax and spice. Continues on the palate, crisp and energised in bright acidity, with a featured layer of ginger, spice and Thai basil herbals. Finishes super dry and clean with an engaging grapefruit pithiness. Full of life.”

2024 CLIFF EDGE OFF DRY RIESLING | 91 POINTS
“Pressed to tank, fermented cool, a smaller ferment arrested early, leaving natural grape sugars for an off-dry style with 45g/L RS. So pretty, so aromatic and so ready to be opened and enjoyed – cue the Pad Thai. Spring florals and citrus blossom arrive with lifted citrus, spiced apple and pear. Boasts a smooth and supple texture, lightly spiced flavours with a gentle sweetness brightened in lively acidity. Lots to like and enjoy here.”

BILLI BILLI

A standout performer in this year’s guide, Billi Billi highlights our commitment to crafting approachable cool-climate wines that overdeliver on quality, character and value.

2024 BILLI BILLI SHIRAZ | 92 POINTS
“Sourced from cooler vineyard sites across the Grampians and Victoria, Billi Billi combines a plushness and smooth-running mouthfeel with a lively, peppery spiciness. It’s all about the fruit: ripe black cherry and plum partnered to dark roasted spices, allspice and black pepper. A most welcoming shiraz at a welcoming price.”
