Established in 1969, now home to one of Australia’s most iconic cool climate wines, Langi Shiraz. Mount Langi Ghiran – Aboriginal for home of the yellow tailed black cockatoo – is set amongst the dramatic backdrop of the Great Dividing Range in the Grampians region of Victoria, producing iconic cool climate wines.

Our winemakers consider it a privilege to work with the amazing array of fruit delivered from the vines and are inspired to pour their talents into crafting wines that exceed the legacy laid down by hands before them. Our focus is on producing distinctive cool climate wines with each vintage a reflection of our unique site and its seasons with unrivalled cellaring potential, epitomising the finesse of cool climate wines. The long, slow ripening of our grapes, particularly Shiraz, contributes to the development of a stunning range of fruit flavours, perfumes, pepper and spice that are harnessed in the winery creating graceful wines of depth and detail.

Picking decisions are at the heart of what we do – driven by the intimate understanding we have of each block and knowing when the fruit is at its peak. When the fruit comes into the winery, each parcel is judged on its merits and the vagaries of the season and handled accordingly to showcase the very best of our property and vines. Each generation of winemakers has built upon the foundations laid down by hands before them, producing wines that embody the essence of Mount Langi Ghiran.

Billi Billi Shiraz

Sourced from a selection of premium cool climate vineyards throughout Victoria; predominantly the Grampians, including a portion from the Mount Langi Ghiran vineyards. This tier represents a fantastic introduction to the world of Mount Langi Ghiran.

Tasting notes:

Colour – Bright, medium garnet.
Nose – Red and black berries, with underlying mocha and spice.
Palate – The aromas carry to the palate, with bright red plums and spice adding depth to the delicate berry fruits, framed by soft tannins.
