2020 Mount Langi Ghiran Blanc de Blancs

The fruit for our Blanc de Blancs is sourced from our Chardonnay block at Mount Langi Ghiran, planted in 1985. This east facing slope is comprised of granite soils, which when combined with the coolness of the site, delivers an acidity so natural and pure. Three years on yeast lees before disgorging creates another layer of texture and aromas, providing the palate with a subtle creaminess. The result is a vibrant, zesty wine of granny smith apples and citrus.

Tasting Notes

Bright, pale lemon.
This is a fresh and zesty sparkling wine underpinned with lemon sherbet and shortbread notes.
Zest of lemon ruby grapefruit with a crisp acidity. Three years on lees has added a rounded brioche note to the palate – the texture and flavour carried by a fine and persistent bead.

Method Traditional. Fruit is whole bunch pressed, fermented in stainless steel tank for primary fermentation, followed by secondary fermentation in bottle. Three years on lees before disgorging and dosage.
