2022 delivered an almost perfect growing season, however, post veraison, the weather was rarely onside with a significant lack of sunshine. Humidity, bird pressure and limited spells of dry weather made it a tougher than usual vintage. The cool conditions delayed picking of the red varietals by almost two weeks, meaning that, in addition to bright berry flavours, is spice — and plenty of it! |

Medium-to-deep garnet. |

Brambly blackcurrant, dark cherry, jalapeno and earthy tones with subtle floral and rosemary aromas. |

Soft blue fruits, dark chocolate and dried herbs tending towards mocha flavours with a liquorice hint. Acid is in balance with the powdery tannins, culminating in a medium-bodied wine with brilliant synergy and length. |

Both the form and the flavour of this Grampians cabernet blend are spot-on. The fruit is sweet, the leaf notes are well integrated, and the rounds of spice are in perfect harmony with the creamy, smoky woodiness of the oak. This wine tends to fly under the radar, but it's time for people to cotton onto it.
